This Handbook has been compressed as much as possible to make it functional and practical. It condenses the most important legislation on private international law and focuses on the Brussels I bis Regulation, which regulates jurisdiction, recognition and enforcement of judgments; the Rome I and Rome II Regulations, which regulate the law applicable to contractual and non-contractual obligations, respectively; and presents the Regulations governing Marriage (international jurisdiction, applicable law and matrimonial property regimes), Child Protection, Maintenance and Succession.
